About Me…

Hello! My name is Corinna. I am a Canadian born fashion designer and artist of Açorean roots. I grew up in an artistic family on Vancouver Island in a small fishing village. As a child I enjoyed spending time by the ocean and outdoors, reading fairy tales and drawing up a storm.

At university, I studied Math and Physics, however, found my focus shifting more towards an artistic direction. I was greatly inspired by a presentation I attended by Iain McCaig. Not only was I delighted to meet him in person, but I found his passion for art and his amazing costume design a determining factor which propelled me towards a career in illustration and fashion. In 2003 I enrolled at PDA, a fashion design school in Victoria B.C., and later graduated with top marks and was awarded the best designer of the year.

On January 1 2006 I married a French/Danish IT director named Hans-Christian Andersen (yes really!). He is quite creative in many areas such as art, music, and writing. Together we enjoy many similar interests, travelling, music, film, theatre, art, science, nature and animals. We are also both sci-fi nerds with a special love for Astronomy ^-^

Presently I am working with other designers, and am currently planning to open my own online boutique to sell my designs and illustrations.
