There is no part of Fashion Week I look forward to more then that of designer Alexander McQueen who is known for his spectacular showmanship and sometimes controversial images. Although never lacking in his usual superb tailoring, McQueen’s vision has been repressed and commercialised in recent past seasons. This season, however, McQueen has captured some of his old magic back as he delves into a dark fairytale world. Inspired by a 600 year old elm tree in his garden McQueen wove a story of a girl who lives in it and comes out of the darkness to meet a prince an become a queen. The collection is marked by standout pieces made of layers of tulle, lace and vibrant Indian brocades. To see the full collection click here.

Very inspirational dresses ! My favourites from here are the beautiful intricate lace one on the top left and of course the dual peacocks. Really lovely how that one flows when the model walks.
